Born and raised in Munich, Germany, Iris gained apprenticeship under New York labels such as threeASFOUR before using that experience to launch her own self-named line. Iris's signature aesthetic sources inspiration from creating geometric shapes out of different materials. By layering them in simplistic ways, she creates minimal yet progressive looks. For the project, Iris retained her minimalist, abstract aesthetic and refashioned a white t-shirt in a new material. By reducing the elements of the t-shirt into pieces and resizing them, Iris restructured the t-shirt into a robe. This process of using the t-shirt as a departure point to create a completely different clothing article introduces an unexpected way of constructing clothing.
